Bewitching tunes! Kenyan music that has kept us sane this year

We can all agree 2020 has been a tough year for all of us but here are a few artists who brought forth their albums, singles or even music videos for albums they had released the previous year.

These are some of the few artistes who have helped keep the music scene awake and continue releasing great music.

Sauti Sol- at the beginning of the year they first released their hit Suzanna which was being played all over the country then later on released their album midnight train. They later on help a virtual concert which was great. Nini ingine tunataka?

Nyashinski-  released his album Lucky You and launched it on Instagram live.

Mejja – one hit after the other. If there is a year that Mejja has shook the industry it is this one.

Octopizzo – he has been releasing great music and even has moved to tiktok.

Khaligraph – he has been releasing various collabs with guys like Bien from Sauti Sol.

Willy Paul – has as usual been releasing great songs and this year wasn’t an exemption.

H_art the band – they released their album last year and are currently releasing their music videos slow but sure.

Elani – from their album Colors of Love they have been releasing their music according to each colour and what it signifies.


Kahush – He is quite new in the music scene but rose to fame after fans discovered he was the Health CS Mutahi Kagwe’s son and after that, he has not failed to give us great music.

King Kaka & Pascal Tokodi – they have been releasing music together for some time and it doesn’t cease to be great.

Nameless – the legendary nameless is still in the game and recently released the hit titled, My Song.

Ssaru – we came to know her well after the remix of Wanani and now she is releasing her own music.

Nadia Mukami – she has also come through for us this year with great music and collabs.
