Kamene Goro is an outspoken Kenyan radio presenter and event organizer. Together with her co-host Andrew Kibe, they have hooked listeners to KISS FM with their controversies in and out of the studio. The radio personality does not shy from expressing her views and hitting straight to the point. While most women will never honestly admit their body count, Kamene shared the numbers without a care of how our judgemental society would react.
The bold lady just gives it to Kenyans as it is. Behind that pretty face and a voice to die for is a woman who has ‘chewed’ books.
Michelle Kamene Goro was born on the 24th March 1992. She is currently 28 years old.
The radio presenter went to Rusinga International School before going to the University of Nairobi for a Degree in Law. She wanted to be a journalist but her parents thought it was not much of a viable career.
During her third year at the University, Kamene tried out several screen tests. At a young age, she rose to become a senior prime time news anchor with Ebru TV. By the time she was becoming a senior news anchor, she had done so much. She even produced her own bulletins and did two bulletins a day due to the station being understaffed. She hosted other shows, arranged for interviews, edited news and assignments plus doing voice overs and going out into the field in case there was a shortage of reporters. After all this, there was no more ways to grow since she had done everything. Popular shows she hosted while at Ebru TV include: The Weekly Report, Just the Facts and Africa in Brief.
After leaving the TV scenes, she started her own events company. After a while she messaged NRG on Instagram to ask for a job. It took such a long time for them to get back to her that she started losing hope. Luckily, she was called back and offered the job. For a while, she presented the NRG breakfast show from 6 in the morning.
The bubbly presenter quit NRG radio after allegedly disagreeing with superiors and went to join Kiss 100 together with fellow presenter Andrew Kibe. They now present one of the biggest breakfast shows in the country : Breakfast with the Stars.
Prior to joining the media scene, she worked as a paralegal with Simani and Co advocate in 2013.
Kamene admits to being dumped twice. Once, was when she tried her hand in marriage. The guy ended the relationship through a simple WhatsApp call which was very painful. He couldn’t even afford to wait till they met face to face.
In an interview with K24, last year she said marriage and children are not her set goals. If it is meant to happen then it will but she has no expected timelines.
