The Kenyan music industry is mourning the passing on of celebrated singer Mighty Salim.
The decorated Mugithi singer, whose real name is Timothy Njuguna passed away on Sunday evening. His death comes barely a week after celebrating his late brother Salim Junior’s anniversary.
His fans across the country have mourned him and popular Mugithi singer Samido Muchoki, penned a touching tribute to him.

According to family reports, Salim was diagnosed with diabetes in mid-2003 and later on, in 2018 he was also diagnosed with kidney failure. He is known for songs such as Kana Gakwa, Hamwe na Mwathani, Jira Dukadiga etc.
