‘Let these things come automatically’ Mwalimu King’ang’i warns women against ‘forcing’ marriage on men

Eric Omondi's drama wedding

Ever met a man who promised you marriage and ended up marrying someone else? You even took loans for them just to prove your love for them?

Well, you are not alone in this as it has happened to countless other Kenyan women.

Mwalimu King’ang’I has advised women not to assume that a man will marry them if he has not said it outright.

Adding that most women end up hurt because of making assumptions.

‘MEN DON’T PROMISE, IT’S WOMEN WHO CHANGE THOSE WORDS.
SOMETIMES IT’S JUST IN THE MIDDLE OF A DISCUSSION BUT WE NEVER PROMISE ANYTHING, WE JUST FIND OURSELVES MARRIED AND WE DO NOT KNOW-HOW.
90% OF KENYAN MEN WHO ARE MARRIED THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED.
YOU SIRE A KID WITH SOMEONE BEFORE YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THE SECOND-BORN COMES AND SOON PEOPLE START ASKING YOU ‘BIBI ANAENDELEA AJE’.
THAT IS WHEN IT HITS YOU THAT YOU ARE MARRIED.

Mwalimu added that most times women make assumptions based on what a man says and what they want to hear.

WE SHOULD LEARN TO SEPARATE WEDDING FROM MARRIAGE, PEOPLE SHOULD LET THESE THINGS COME AUTOMATICALLY.
WOMEN PICK THESE WORDS OVER THE YEARS AND ASSUME IT IS A PROMISE. IF A MAN WANTS TO SINCERELY MARRY YOU, YOU WILL NOT EVEN REALIZE IT.
DON’T WAIT FOR HIM TO GET DRUNK AND BELIEVE HIS PROMISES.

Men,do you agree with Mwalimu Kingangi?
