Papa Shirandula actor Kenneth Gichoya alias Njoro has talked about how social media killed him, not once or twice, but three times.
This caused a lot of grief for his family.
Speaking about it exclusively to Mpasho, he said it’s something he wishes no one else goes through.
‘ITS VERY BAD ESPECIALLY TO MY FAMILY AND PEOPLE WHO KNOW YOU PERSONALLY.
SOMETIMES MY MOTHER CALLS ME CRYING ASKING ME WHY PEOPLE ARE DOING THIS TO ME.
WHEN PEOPLE SPREAD DEATH NEWS ABOUT ME,THEY PLAY WITH PEOPLE’S EMOTION BY PUTTING MY FAMILY IN STRESS.
SOME PEOPLE EVEN CALL MY WIFE SAYING ‘POLE MZEE AMEENDA.’ YET I AM ALIVE AND KICKING.’
‘ONLY GOD CAN DEAL WITH SUCH PEOPLE. IT’S NEVER A GOOD THING.’
Njoro acted alongside Charles Bukeko a.k.a Papa Shirandula for many years and their chemistry was undeniable.
He says he is still trying to come to terms with the death of his colleague, friend, mentor and it’s not easy.
This is because they had spoken just two weeks ago and nothing had prepared him for such news.
They were what we would call rafiki wa chanda na pete. A friends who stick by each other through thick and thin.
May Njoro find peace in these tough times and may Papa Shirandula rest in peace.
