‘They thought we were deaf,’ Jalango narrates high school escapade

Jalango shared with MC Jessy in a witty manner how the high school he went to has now developed.

The Kiss FM presenter said he managed to score a C+ despite the hardships he experiences.

According to him, a C+  in Nyangoma boys is like an A plain in Alliance High.

JALANGO VISITED THE SCHOOL RECENTLY AND ‘RIGHT NOW IT HAS CHANGED SO MUCH THE LIBRARY IS THERE, THEY HAVE A COMPUTER LAB , THE CLASSES ARE LOOKING GOOD, THERE IS A GATE …THERE IS EVERYTHING.’

He reminisced about how they used to borrow a bus from the school of the deaf and other schools used to think they are deaf.

‘I saw my dad cry,’ Jalango gets emotional describing the saddest high school moment

“THINGS HAVE CHANGED, WE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE A BUS BY THEN RIGHT KNOW THEY HAVE A BUS. NYANGOMA IS A CATHOLIC COMPLEX,  SO WE HAVE NYANGOMA TECHNICAL, NYANGOMA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF, NYANGOMA GIRLS BOARDING PRIMARY, NYANGOMA BOYS HIGH SCHOOL SO TUKIKUWA TUNACHUKULIWA GARI YA DEAF TUKIENDA GAMES WE JUST HIDE IT SO TUNAFIKA HUKO MADEM WANATUONGELESHA MA SIGN LANGUAGE.”

Confused they used to respond, “buanaa hizo ni nini unafanya ongea!”

And they used to wonder how they weren’t deaf.
